PRODUCT DETAILS

The Powerpods™ converts any existing stand-up paddleboard (SUP) into a steerable, variable speed, electric SUP. The device easily attaches to an outrigger bracket, and the long steering rod can be operated from a standing position. This propulsion system can also be used for kayaks, canoes and other watercraft.

The handle contains the controls for speed, forward and reverse and stop functions. It is at the top of the rod, and is easily reached. Simply squeeze the handle for selecting the preferred movement.

The device sits on the outrigger bracket, and is connected by a pin that is placed in a hole on the bracket. Turning the rod will allow steering the board, and guiding it around large rocks or other obstacles in the water. The hazards can be seen in the water due to the easy movement of the propeller, which causes little or no wake.

The propeller sits in the water, just below the water line. This make it easy to maneuver through shallow water where other watercraft may not be able to navigate. Pontoons may also be added to the paddleboard, kayak or canoe, for extra stability and less wobbling in the water. The slow, easy movement is relaxing to the user, and being on the water is enjoyable without so much hard work.
