The battery-operated heating element is sandwiched between the two ends of the call, and wires are extended into the reed. In some instances, when the weather is very cold, the reed can freeze, making the call inoperable. This does not happen when using the Sub Zero™. It will prevent the reed from freezing, no matter how long the user is out in the cold, or how low the temperature gets.

The Sub Zero™ is a heated game call for hunting in cold temperatures. The call is made from two parts of plastic, with a heating element placed in between. The heating element is connected to the reed by wires that heat up when the switch is turned on. It can be turned off between uses, or if a different call is needed.
The rechargeable batteries and heating element are encased in the central portion of the call. A separate charging station can be carried in a pouch attached to a lanyard, and charging wires can be threaded through the cord. This way, when multiple calls are on the lanyard, some may be charging while others are being used. This prevents the freezing of the reed while a call is not in use.
This convenient, rechargeable call can be made for calling ducks, geese, and other game. The hunters or wildlife viewers can spend more time outside without fear of their calls freezing and not being usable, enjoying the hunting experience longer, and being more productive in whatever they are doing.
