Plumbing Float Valve
The Plumbing Float Valve is a self-closing pipe valve that prevents water from entering and flooding a specific are, such as a basement.
The valve seals the pipe as the water rises, preventing backflow from entering. The gate closes over the seal for strength, and the area does not get flooded. PRODUCT DETAILS
The Plumbing Float Valve is a unique device that is comprised of a flexible stopper; a float portion, a gate, a gate mounting assembly and a hinge. The flexible stopper seals a pipe when the float portion rises on water. The gate couples the rubber stopper on one side and the float portion on another side.
The gate mounting assembly includes a pivot, a movable arm and one or more latches. The movable arm rotates about the pivot, and the one or more latches prevent movement of the arm. The hinge of the plumbing float valve couples the gate to the gate mounting assembly to securely seal the pipe
This new valve prevents rising backflow from the sewer pipe catch basin from entering the pipe and flooding the basement. This can save building owners (home and business) thousands of dollars in costly repairs of the damage caused by excess water.
The Plumbing Float Valve is simple to manufacture, easy to install, and will reduce insurance claims for flooding repairs. With over 138.8 million homes and 32.5 million businesses in the U.S., insurance companies may look at this product and strongly recommend its use, and could offer reduced premiums as incentives for installing a Plumbing Float Valve in homes and businesses.
