The second is a magnetically secured shoreline plug and receptacle. This is tailored for the EV (electric vehicle), RV (recreational vehicle), and ambulance markets. The Paramagnet™ features a magnetically held plug and receptacle. It includes a PCB (printed circuit board) that mounts the safety mechanism, which is activated by a magnet integrated into the plug of the cord.
The activation of the safety switch in both products can be performed using a variety of technologies, including magnets, RFID, or other advanced methods. The Paramagnet™ employs a sophisticated magnetically or RFID-activated system to control the flow of electricity, setting a new standard in outlet safety. The outlet remains inactive and does not conduct electricity unless the adapter with the corresponding magnet or RFID tag is correctly positioned within the outlet. Only when the adapter’s magnet or RFID tag aligns with the sensor in the outlet does the circuit complete, allowing electricity to flow. This ensures that electricity is only accessible when needed and in a controlled manner.
