GeoPlate™
GeoPlate™ uses the constant temperature of the earth as the exchange medium similar to the conventional geothermal/water-source heat pump system. As with any heat pump, geothermal and water-source heat pumps are the most efficient in heating and cooling living spaces with additional capacity to supply the house with hot water.
A GeoPlate™ geothermal heat pump can be installed as a standalone or in combination with a supplemental heat pump, such as an air-source heat pump, by utilizing the heat storage capability of the GeoPlate™. It can store daytime heat in cold season or nighttime cold in hot season to use for heating and cooling a home, and for heating water. One system can be made of plates with different surface elements and will require less land space for installation than other types of conventional, geothermal heat pump systems.

PRODUCT DETAILS
The GeoPlate™ is a geothermal heat exchange system in which heat exchange units have essentially flat, plate-like walls extending longitudinally and laterally and spaced apart transversely in close proximity to one-another, providing very large area heat exchange surfaces. Placed between these plates is a heat exchange medium, contained in the form of a very thin, film-like volume of liquid for rapid heat exchange between a film-like volume of heat exchange medium and a surrounding geothermal mass. This establishes a geothermal heat exchange system in which the volumetric flow of the heat exchange medium into and out of each heat exchange unit during operation of the system, relative to the volume of heat exchange medium within each heat exchange unit, facilitates a simplified, economical installation of a geothermal heat exchange system requiring minimal excavation, while conserving land area use.
The GeoPlate™ provides a geothermal heat exchange system having geothermal heat exchange units capable of effective robust performance over an extended service life.
