The Darclight™ is a smartphone case with integrated UV lights.

 The smartphone controls the operation of the UV lamp circuit, which generates an illumination of electromagnetic radiation in the ultraviolet spectrim. It detects biological material that is not otherwise detecatable by human eyes. Once the phone is inserted, it provides the UV lamp circuit electrical power.

UVC light works by damaging the genetic material (DNA or RNA) of microorganisms, which prevents them from replicating and ultimately causes their death. This is because UVC light is absorbed by the genetic material of microorganisms, causing mutations that prevent them from reproducing and functioning properly.
