The Drop Panel Truck Bed is a pickup truck bed with side walls and a tailgate that may be raised and lowered to transform the truck between a pickup truck and a flatbed truck. The drop-down side panels and tailgate each contain one or more height adjusters. The panels do not need to be removed to create the flat bed.

Each height adjuster consists of a track gear, coupled to the panel to be moved, a motor coupled to the chassis of the truck, and a drive gear coupled to the shaft of the motor. The teeth of the track gear mesh with the teeth of the drive gear such that rotation of the motor in a first diction lowers the panel to a down position and rotation of the motor in a second direction lifts the panel to an up position.

The technology of the Drop Panel Truck Bed makes any pickup truck a versatile vehicle with a multitude of uses.
